چکیده

The hydrogeochemical characteristics of groundwater are an important element in the study spatial and temporal variation resources, which is crucial to water resources utilization, ecological environmental protection, human development. Water samples were collected at eight observation Nandong Karst System (NKWS) sites each month 2019, main ions isotopes examined. hydrogeochemistry its differences with surface explored by using methods multivariate statistics, Gibbs model. Results showed that chemistry types mainly HCO3–Ca HCO3–Ca·Mg. analysis hydrogen oxygen isotope initial recharge source atmospheric precipitation, measured heavier due strong evaporation effect. natural anthropogenic processes contributed chemical composition area. However, factor affecting quality was input contaminants. In terms factors, controlled water-rock action originating from weathering hydrolysis rocks soils. Ca2+, Mg2+, HCO3− originated dissolution carbonate rocks. K+, Na+, SO42−, Cl− partly precipitation. For activities, Na+ domestic for local residents. SO42− came mining. NO3− fertilizers, waste sewage.

Surface Water–groundwater Interaction in the Fractured Sandstone Aquifer Impacted by Mining-induced Subsidence: 2. Hydrogeochemistry

Water quality along the Waratah Rivulet in the Woronora Lake Catchment, New South Wales (NSW), Australia, has been monitored during the last three years by the Sydney Catchment Authority. Water quality data shows changes in chemical composition due to cracking of streambeds and rockbars, and diversion of surface water into subsurface routes in the Hawkesbury Sandstone aquifer. Water quality ups...

Hydrogeochemistry of Groundwater and Arsenic Adsorption Characteristics of Subsurface Sediments in an Alluvial Plain, SW Taiwan

Many studies were conducted to investigate arsenic mobilization in different alluvial plains worldwide. However, due to the unique endemic disease associated with arsenic (As) contamination in Taiwan, a recent research was re-initiated to understand the transport behavior of arsenic in a localized alluvial plain. A comprehensive approach towards arsenic mobility, binding, and chemical speciatio...

Quantifying the influence of surface water–groundwater interaction on nutrient flux in a lowland karst catchment

Nutrient contamination of surface waters and groundwaters is an issue of growing importance as the risks associated with agricultural run-off escalate due to increasing demands on global food production. In this study, the influence of surface water–groundwater interaction on the nutrient flux in a lowland karst catchment was investigated with the aid of alkalinity sampling and a hydrological m...
